Justin Bieber has Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

Justin Bieber announced on Friday that he was unable to perform after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

When left untreated, these syndromes can lead to hearing loss and facial weakness.

"It's a virus that attacks my ears and the nerves in my face," Sandroom said.

The virus can cause facial paralysis.

He further pointed to his face in the video and said that it was not my eyes.

And said I can't smile anymore, this nostril won't move. This means that it causes complete paralysis.

The Ramsay syndrome virus occurs when the spread of shingles affects the facial nerves near the ear.

Chicken pox causes shingles and Ramsey's Hunt Syndrome virus.

The symptom of the syndrome is that it causes painful seizures and severe pain in the ear.

Mount Sinai Health Systems says it causes things to go awry.

This can lead to facial paralysis and hearing loss near the affected ear.

Mums Clinic says Ramsay Hunt can cause permanent weakness and deafness of facial muscles.

The treatment is to use anti-inflammatory drugs.
