Knicks guard Kemba Walker will sit out rest of season

New York Knicks point guard, Kemba Walker, will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after a stop-start campaign so far.

Both Walker and the Knicks have come to an agreement that it is best for him to spend the rest of the season on the sidelines.

The 31-year-old will spend his time away from the court preparing for the upcoming 2022-23 season

ensuring he is in the right shape to have a consistent run in the side

Knicks President, Leon Rose, shared a statement on Wednesday regarding the decision.

“We fully support Kemba’s decision to shut it down for the remainder of the season and to use this time to prepare for next season,” he said.

“His success on the court remains our priority.”

The Knicks and Walker have both struggled this season and have been unable to really hit the ground running.

This could be a much needed respite for the two to start over next time round.
